"First Night Maui" has a wonderful tradition here on Maui. It is the New Year's Eve celebration where families can go with their kids to cerebrate the new year, with no alcohol or drugs allowed.

All day, multiple stages feature live music from Maui's finest musicians.

From big bands to soloist and duos, music and good times permeate the warm tropical air.

First Night Maui 1999 Sheryl and Michael performed their original music, playing many of the songs currently in production for their upcoming new release, "Island Romance".

Many of their fans showed up and gave enthusiastic support.

Many of PrestonBeachwood's songs have become standards amongst their fans, including, "Hold On" and their very popular, "American Medley".

PrestonBeachwood performs at the Castle - opening for Wayne Dyer

August 1, 1999 - Wayne Dyer - Castle Theatre

We have had the wonderful experience to join Wayne for what is now our third year in a row. Wayne is one of the leading authors and motivational-spiritual speakers on the lecture circuit. His appearance at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center is an event looked forward to each year. His message helps his readings and listeners to create for themselves a more fulfilling life.

We were pleased to open with one of our most favorite and positive original songs, "Hold On". Wayne was also helping his daughter, Skye, to launch her career as a singer, having her sing a solo and then a duet with another of Maui's upcoming musical stars, Daimon.

Wayne loves Maui so much that he and his family live here for a few months each year. As Wayne loves to write in a secluded, uninterrupted environment, visiting Maui is more the time for him to enjoy his family and relax in the warm trade wind breezes. It definitely takes strong willpower to break away from Maui's beauty in order to do work.

As always, Wayne packs the house! It was an audience that we know all too well... we had many of our fans there as well who enjoyed hearing their favorite Preston-Beachwood songs!

"Dear Sheryl and Michael, Thank you on behalf of all of us at Pacific Whale Foundation, for your support of Whale Day 98, our annual fundraiser for marine education programs for Maui's kids. 1997 - Benefit for Steven Tarnoff - A Murder Mystery Play

Aston Wailea Hotel, Hailea, Maui

This was a wonderful event sponsored by the Maui Fund Raising Committee of the Barbara Anne DeBoer Foundation

Proceeds are to benefit Steven Tarnoff, one of our local residents, who is need of a liver transplant to save his life.

This was a very differrent kind of show, one in which Sheryl played sound effects on her keyboard for the various acts being played out by our list of characters.

The murder mystery was enjoyed by everyone, with lots of humor and good fun. All of the artists donating their time and talent were rewarded by great applause from the audience.

The donations received will certainly help Steven in his battle to live. We wish him all the best and look forward to working on his behalf again, if needed!
